Dear Mr Batchelor, On our return from a few days at Staithes, our Zafira broke down at Saltburn and we were thankfully rescued by Green Flag who brought us, plus dog and car back to Ripon. We were dealt with immediately – given a welcome cup of coffee by John Jarratt (with whom we deal when changing cars), water provided for our dog – car dealt with immediately and luckily the fault was found, put right and we were on our way approx 30 mins after arriving – driving off in a gleaming clean car, which when it arrived it was COVERED by presents from the many seagulls at Staithes. I received my Vauxhall Astra last year through Batchelors of Ripon, this is the second car I have had from this dealership.
Firstly, the inspection process and new pin number scheme made it so easy and straightforward and the whole changeover went without a hitch.
Yesterday the car was collected for it’s first service and was to be returned later in the day. Normally I would have taken it in and someone would run me home as I am 6 miles from Ripon but I have been a bit immobilized for a week or so. In the afternoon Batchelors rang me to say I had a puncture which was irrepairable and I should have to take it to Kwik Fit in Ripon. I explained my position and they arranged to take the car for the new tyre, but it would be the following day before the car was returned to me. A phone call later and they said the tyre was replaced and the car was on it’s way home to me. I was amazed and delighted at Batchelors going that extra mile.
They also offer a free car wash service to anyone who buys a car from them and to me that is such a bonus, so it arrived sparkling inside and out!
It is a great service and they deserve praise.

I wanted to write to express my appreciation to you and your staff regarding the fitting of a new cam belt to our son Daniel’s Renault Clio last week.
From start to finish your staff displayed professionalism and courtesy throughout, from Tony Wield contacting me with an estimate for the work – which was very competitive compared with Charlton’s of Boroughbridge – through collection and delivery service provided by two very pleasant mature gentlemen. The members of your team on reception and in the service department were all particularly pleasant and helpful and made the whole process painless and easy. I have already recommended John Jarratt (who is a long standing friend of ours), in terms of car sales, to friends of ours and in fact John and Ann Atherton have purchased a Renault Clio, as we did, through John for their teenage son. I shall have no hesitation to recommend the service department to them and all our other friends to Batchelors in general, whether for sales or service requirements. It’s not often these days that I feel the need to write a letter of compliment to anyone, however I do think this time a letter of praise is well deserved. Mr Partner and I recently purchased a used Vauxhall Astra sports hatch from your dealership and I must say that I am extremely impressed with the whole experience.
